The list of services and their standards respond to the need to establish principles and rules regarding the relationship between the administrations that provide those services and the people who use them. This constitutes a veritable ‘pact’ with users and a means of communication and information that allows them to know the following: what services are being offered; the methods and standards that the library promises to guarantee; how to check that the commitments undertaken are respected; and to provide feedback, also by filing complaint forms.

The adoption of the list of services by the entities pertaining to the Ministero della Cultura is part of a series of initiatives aimed at both promoting a broader appreciation of the cultural heritage preserved in those institutions and meeting the users’ expectations.

The list of services will be updated frequently. This will make it possible both to consolidate the standards that have been achieved and to record the positive changes that have taken place through the implementation of various projects, which also benefit from their users’ feedback.
